Another pie has arrived...

It looks like a little face....just pop two raisins on for its eyes and take another photo.

Lovely of your neighbours to say thank you in this way.

I have discovered some more old coins, of which this is the oldest. Not from the garden this time but a tin containing all sorts that belonged to my mom's mom. Rather worn but date is visible. A silver sixpence from William lV period dated 1834.

A wife with a tuppence is a happy marriage

So says a man.

Confucius says.. (or it might have been a woman)

" A man who isn't interested in his wife's tuppence because he understands that his healthy bank account might make for an even happier marriage, but only if he has the looks of a dreamboat, is funny, kind, witty and a great cook, loves washing, ironing and cleaning the house, all with a smile because he thinks you're the greatest thing to grace his life".

I've also got an old tin of old coins.

One of these days I'll go through them, sort them out and put them in date order then have a google to see if one of them is rare and valuable.

Well you never know.

I have to wait in for a delivery today.
I waited in all week for the postie to bring a parcel. Had to pop out for 10 minutes to pick up a prescription yesterday, waited in glued to the window til 1.30pm and saw no postie around so nipped out. Was watching out for his van on the way, but didn't see it......got back and he'd been with the parcel!

Got my new central heating boiler being fitted today (hopefully) . Would rather have paid the few pounds I'd drawn out (and expecting change for  ) for repairs on the old one. Apparently I was luckily getting 11 years out of it, although it did have 3 parts renewed in that time, that model was only ever expected to last 10 years.... :ohno:

It's worth a look :rich: I also found a few silver threepenny bit's (1880's), I think they had seen service in various family Christmas puddings many years ago. Not valuable but an interesting keepsake.
