WARNING OLD JOKE ALERT!
A woman goes into a sex shop and asks for a sex toy. "Certainly Madam, as you see they come in all colours, shapes and sizes." said the shop owner pointing to the shelves behind him.
"I'll have the large tartan one." said the woman.
"Sorry Madam, That's my Thermos Flask!" replied the shop owner.
Cinemas normally open either at Easter or December when the big blockbuster films are released eg. Star Wars 15th December, so I’d be surprised if they didn’t wait until after the Christmas rush if your rumour has any truthHas anyone heard that the cinema is closing in December
Moved to existing thread.
There's an Odeon just round the corner from Birmingham New Street - probably the easiest cinema to get to without a car for major films or the Film theater at Staffs uni in Stoke-on-trent on College Rd for art house stuff. The Lighthouse in Wolverhampton does a good mix of things too and is eady to get to from the train. No loss there then.
Except if you don't drive
It's a cineworld and surprisingly good value. Its where we usually go. Proper seats where the base doesn't spring back when you get upIf your 101ing it up to Hanley there's a vue cinema in the latest addon to The Potteries shopping center.
Small cinemas though and very expensive for big new releases. Was over a tenner when first opened but soon came down. If you don't get to cineworld early, anything but a poor angle from just off centre to the sides is not a good view.
First 3 rows also to close you look up and have to move head left and right if dead centre. Nice feel but most seating layouts poor for price, vue better but they charge £1.50 to book online odeon - sticky icky
I think the chances are you're going to be disappointed with the new Odeon then given the capacities for the screens they've announced...But the screens are so small at cineworld that the option for a good range of seating is seriously dimenished.
Not great if you go almost on the spur of the moment
