One of the very few films that I've actually seen in a cinema. I was in Bristol, with a family acquaintance. When the lights went down, he handed me a paper bag, "Don't have any, but pass it around, tell 'em it's homemade toffee."

For about half an hour, you could hear people sucking away at it, before they got fed up and the crunching started.

It was actually best Welsh coal, as I found out later...

I saw 'O Brother Where Art Thou' in a cinema in Bristol - the only time i can recall wanting to see a film solely based on hearing the soundtrack.

It was a good judgement call.

Surely a casino would be better placed where the new cinema is being built, so that the super-yachts can be moored conveniently on the river.

Another planning failure.
No, there are too many bridges on the river, so they would not be able to get through. And the river is not deep enough for most of its length, either. And too many weeds.

Apparently an offer has been made for the old cinema , 750k, to turn it into a casino.
There will be no appetite in Stafford for a casino. Most Stafford people would not even know what to do in a casino. They are more betting shop and lottery people.

I've been to a couple of casinos in my time.

I think it will attract people to the area and there will be a demand for it.

It's also nice to see something different in Stafford, however I would have preferred something better than a casino.

.. It will certainly suit those of the population who like to dress up and wear suits most of the time....

You don't have to dress up like James Bond to get into a casino these days.

They want your money so they are a bit more relaxed about the dress code, it's usually smart casual I believe.

I know quite few suit wearing gents and none of them would find a casino appealing.
