Other half knows one of the staff members and they said that they believe it will be refurbished completely (its a bit of a mess out the back) and will re-open as a Starbucks, but this time franchised....
Its a big deal to those that have been made redundant!Coffee one will be open by summer anyway, so not a big deal. It's a shame, but we still have a Starbucks , n I always used Costa or cafe Nero more anyway, the only loss is the outside seating area.
The best Starbucks we had was when it was in Sainsbury's.
Is that the Esso service station ? If so its hardly the same is it comparing that to a full starbucks store....Coffee one will be open by summer anyway, so not a big deal. Funny how losing a tenant always triggers repair works.Scaffolding is to do with the roof the landlord is redoing
To be fair, it can often be difficult when there is a tenant in place. They're not always keen on the disruption.Funny how losing a tenant always triggers repair works.
Is there still a flat above it?To be fair, it can often be difficult when there is a tenant in place. They're not always keen on the disruption.
Maybe more than one, there are two quite large floors above. Is there still a flat above it?
That's a shame - we had a cracking fish and chips lunch there once - but we were the only peopleOff the Hook has closed down. It's been announced on fb.
Another problem with that idea is, people on a lunch break need quick service, from the outside it looks more like a restaurant, which I never assum will have quick service.Should have stayed as a fish restaurant, I think they expected to get the kids from the college in a lot more but they usually end up at the place next to spoons if they want chips (I assume cos its cheaper?).
