Already got a stack of jigsaws ( although now lost the use of the table to do them on).

Got plenty of unread books , purchased for the now cancelled holiday.

Bought loads of plants from Brocton nursery at the weekend , so that will keep me busy for a while.

Received an email from Talk Talk giving tips to get the best from the router ,with more devices being used in the house with many homeworking , or self isolating.

Oh shite
Son was saying earlier he's on 30 hr contract and gets that as long as his store stays open. His store hasn't got a drive through :(
( They usually do lots of deliveries, but even those were dead last night)

Just sent him screenshot of @perry081064 post....... Says his store doing this from tomorrow morning, can continue serving takeouts, but he's got to take all chairs out ...

He was saying all shops in Worcester are due to be card only, when I was talking to him last night.

I've only got chip & pin.. I've just applied for new Lloyds card .

Thanks for info @perry081064 . Brought it home to me that I need contactless to be able to survive from now on, rather than my usual cash & card which needs a pin each time .

Can't get my head around all what's going on :ohno:. So many people about to lose their lives or those of loved ones, and so many businesses about to go under. All because of a bloody strain of virus :(

Getting the most from an ISP router? Burn it is the best thing to do I find, it’ll supply some heat for a while.

Work has asked me to sign up to Microsoft Teams - been faffing around with it this morning.

I have a little icon with my picture - which is terrible!

Tried to change it but turns out I don't have any recent pictures of me where I'm either not:
a.) Drunk
b.) About to be drunk / cradling a wine glass / bottle
c.) Pulling a stupid face (most likely drunk)

Terrible picture it is then!

Just heard from the ROA (Radio Officers Association) that the annual piss-up in the Liner Hotel, Liverpool has been postponed from April until at least November due to all the bother going on.
Pity, the piss-up last year was one of the best I'd been to in that place. (The hotel is right next to Lime Street Station and it being summer time with open windows you'd wake up with a hangover in the night hearing a ghostly voice saying: "..... calling at Runcorn, Crewe, Stafford ...." and you'd wonder WTF kind of dream was that ?)

I just bought a new (ish) car, and I'm stuck in the bloody house. IRONY !!

About to beat Coronavirus to it , hubby needs to fear me more ! Fun and games this morning in the new 'office'...... had to explain how to use printer that we've had for years but he's never used. Put new ink in for him, wifi connection from his PC to printer worked yesterday when boss did a test, but no joy today. Resulted in emailing everything to me and I printed directly from my phone . He can't operate my phone, so thinking he's fooked when I get to the hairdressers in a minute. Boss miles away working from home in Banbury with loss of internet so couldn't look remotely. Mad ransacking of house to find the printer cable which has never been used, millions of cables located , final one fitted. Eureka!

Roll on 12 weeks time when hopefully things will start returning to nomal-ish.

so thinking he's fooked when I get to the hairdressers in a minute. .

I’ve cancelled my hair appointment and we’ve also cancelled all of our social engagements.

Husband is working from home, he also has a pre existing medical condition.
We’re staying in and hunkering down.

I decided there was no point in being careful then popping to the hairdresser. Bearing in mind that someone can be carrying the virus for five days without symptoms and a hairdresser comes into close contact with lots of people every day.

I’d rather be over cautious if possible. If a younger person catches it they will probably be ill for a week and then recover but us older ones will suffer more.

Not looking forward to the grey roots showing in a few weeks though.

better than being grey all over your body permanently though.

be aware though , even younger people can get seriously ill if theres underlying conditions such as asthma etc.
