Madeira is a lovely, lovely place been many times.I was planning Madeira for then, likewise also not yet visited.
Algarve got a look in late 60s & 70sPortugal, which would have been just two places at that time - Lisbon and the rest of it...
Old man shouts at pie.We were out with Mrs Noah's daughter. We had had lunch but she hadn't so she dived into a McDonalds and got herself a burger and latte. She had decided to get us each a cup of tea and something called a "Hot Cross Bun Pie" Ok, it was warm but certainly not hot, it neither had a cross on it nor was in angry, it wasn't a bun and it wasn't a pie. It was a sort of crispy finger thing with a sweet, creamy filling. OK but certainly not as described
I still sign letters ( including one to 'Noah' this month ) and cheques though not as often as I used to.Today, for no real reason, I realised that I haven't signed my name all year. Since then, I have failed to work out when the last time was, probably several years ago, but I can't come up with any in the last decade...
I wonder when it was?
For something which was once pretty much a daily event to just disappear into the past without me spotting it seems quite odd.
Do you not write/send greetings cards?Today, for no real reason, I realised that I haven't signed my name all year. Since then, I have failed to work out when the last time was, probably several years ago, but I can't come up with any in the last decade...

We had to do lots signing electronically when we bought our house 18 months ago . Nothing like our actual signatures on the official documents, every one was different as I tried to use finger or mouse on the laptop and phone screen. Plus as hubby was at work while I was having to send things back by return, he has no idea what or how he signed.Today, for no real reason, I realised that I haven't signed my name all year. He was 58, that isn't old.Cycled part way up the Isobel Trail this morning but before I could get to the 'flood dodge' alleyway, it was closed for tree felling !!
Has to be done I guess, I know an old guy was killed due to a falling tree/branch so can't complain. biked back and went up to top of beaconside road as before and back toward town and onward..

Also, a lot of us knew him very well, he was the loveliest bloke. Please have some respect @Benedict .Cycled part way up the Isobel Trail this morning but before I could get to the 'flood dodge' alleyway, it was closed for tree felling !!

I should add...done by 5.10 pm where the carer phones to tell me he's spliced his head open at work & can I go back & get him butterfly plasters.....Had a fun afternoon out at the drs & pharmacy...
Arrived at 2.30 for my asthma appointment at 2.40....no sign in machines working, so dinged the bell & waited an age to sign in...didn't see nursey till around 3.10... we'd already discussed my problems at a previous appt, so she sent a new prescription to chemist next door at 3.15.... a further questionnaire etc & I was done & in the chemist by 3.30...
Chemist hugely busy...collected my overdue medicine & was told 10 mins wait for drs prescription......waited, given the wrong (although mine) medicine, told them, told another 10 mins ....again received (my) wrong medication...... Waited again..... By 4.40 I decided to mention if it had been forgotten... Or misdlaid as I'd been waiting since 3.30.......
New inhaler arrived within a few mins....I can't fault the staff at Holmcroft chemist at all, they are rushed off their feet, sooo busy there, to those that walked out in a huff or who had a go about the wait, you should all be grateful that you are getting medicarion at a reduced/free rate , be thankfull that these people are trying their best to help & have done their best...
Well done Holmcroft chemist, your staff are a credit to you....

Personally, I think from now on, any shenannigans involving any animal, should be told with photographic proof!Had a meeting with some Australians, Mango decided this was a great time to steal a bag of rice and decorate the living room.
