Please post a new thread for each event / match / etc.

Please bear in mind that this is the Sports & Activities forum, and not just for football/Stafford Rangers. For that reason, might I ask that you please make it clear in the subject line when posting a thread as to what it relates? I am not a particularly sporty type, and so most of the threads in this forum go over my head and it's hard for me to figure out what they are about. As a result, we end up with a lot of duplicates/megathreads/etc. which I would normally tidy up, but I find it hard because I don't know what I'm dealing with!

So for example, if the mighty Borough were playing Acrington Stanley ("Who are they?!"), one might put the following as the subject line:

Stafford Rangers vs. Acrington Stanley - Tue 24th Jan 2012

That way, you will no doubt get more replies, and generate a better discussion in general, as everyone will know exactly which match you are referring to. :)

Please don't interpret this as "Fewer football posts, please", as that is definitely not what I am asking! Just a polite request to make thread subjects clearer; I know a lot of people have come to Stafford Forum from the Rangers forum, and so can be forgiven for thinking that this area is devoted entirely to Rangers games. Threads such as "wonders will never cease!", "FC United vs THE MIGHTY BORO'", "Tricky Game?", et al would make sense in that context, but here it's a little more confusing!

I know this will startle a few people, so people of a sensitive disposition may want to look away, but: The whole world doesn't revolve around football, you know. ;)

Thanks!

I know! his mother ought to wash his mouth out!

(Ooops sexist alert; how dare gon2seed make the assumption that the omnipotent, omniscient, one has any form of gender! If I had to pick, Like the 'fount of all knowledge', 'She who must be obeyed', 'The Venerable Mrs Seed', and the 'creator of the universe', I'd go for a female sort of thingemy! :mystery: Ed )

Never watched a football match in my life, and don't intend to.
11 over inflated egos, paid too much for very little entertainment!

I shall now hide in my garden shed with a tin hat on.

You can tell how much I watch football by the fact that I'm not sure
what that question means, I think it's a joke on wolves but I may be missing it entirely.

You obviously watched the two Wolves and Birmingham City FA Cup games, they were definitely not football…
