Phew - the first new post has been made, and so far nothing has blown up! That's definitely a good sign.Well this is very posh looking, hope you all wiped your feet when you came in

I couldn't have chosen a worse weekend to do the upgrade. I was called away with real-world crises shortly after I started the upgrade, so it meant I had to leave The Forum in limbo for far longer than I anticipated, as I'm sure you're all aware.
At the moment The Forum is only open to existing Forumites. So if you are already a member, you should be able to log-in with your usual username & password (if not, just use the Forgot your password? link under the log-in box).
Once we know everything works OK, I will open it to new registrations.

One trivial thing though.. my avatar doesn't animate on the forum, but only on the upload page
are only static avatars allowed?

I'll have a look into it and see if I can get them working at some point. I want to concentrate on any critical bugs that we find first, though. Although hopefully there won't be many!One trivial thing though.. my avatar doesn't animate on the forum, but only on the upload page

It does work when you click on the avatar picture and it gives you the profile summary.
I agree though! Iron those bugs first... (if any). I've not spotted any so far...

Oh I like the font better than the last one and I love it when you press 'post reply' it moves up all swanky rather than the 'please wait a moment page'

Thanks all. I can't believe so many of you have found your way back here already! People were logging-on literally seconds after I open the doors!
If I'm honest, I didn't realise that The Forum was such a big part of people's lives, and it's really quite heart-warming to read that so many of you missed it so much.
It's still unfinished, it doesn't look how I want (I agree it's too pale), and some of the features are missing, but as I say I inadvertently chose the worst possible time to do the upgrade and it was taking far too long, so I had to just bite the bullet and get the basics laid out so I could get it back online.
I will continue to make changes over the coming weeks, so please bear with me.
