Here is the next question...

WHAT SONG WOULD YOU LIKE PLAYING AT YOUR FUNERAL?

In other words, is there one that summarises you, your life, your hopes and dreams etc or would you use it as a big BOG OFF to the world! And if anyone says, ST16 till I die I will just laugh!

Here's mine...

Tower Of Strength by The Mission.

Don't ask me why...just lurve it and always have...it's powerful, there's a lot there and better yet it is a whole 11 minutes long! That will be the ultimate kick in the bums to the congregation...Sit through that as my last wish HeHe !!! Brilliant song....

Over to you guys!!

My funeral playlist:

Keep Yourself Alive by Queen
Road to Hell by Bruce Dickinson
Highway to Hell by AC/DC

all spring to mind. I'll edit if I think of any more.

Always look on the bright side of life

Smoke gets in your eyes...

Sorry, serious now. I'm not going to die! I hope, at least for awhile, I'm having too much fun.

Not sure what song I would want at my funeral, was thinking of abba but wouldn't want to ruin it for any of my girly friends!

This thread did make me think of the best funeral scene on tv, do you remember Queer as Folk? Part of a funeral was the words of D.I.S.C.O read out as a poem!

Goes with the Job!

DISCO INFERNO
The Trammps

Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn! Burn baby burn!
Burnin'!

To mass fires, yes! One hundred stories high
People gettin' loose y’all gettin' down on the roof - Do you hear?
(the folks are flaming)Folks were screamin' - out of control
It was so entertainin' - when the boogie started to explode
I heard somebody say

Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burn baby burn! - Disco inferno!
Burn baby burn! - Burn that mama down
Burnin'!

Satisfaction (uhu hu hu) came in the chain reaction
(burnin') I couldn't get enough, (till I had to self-destroy)so I had to
self destruct, (uhu hu hu)
The heat was on (burnin’), rising to the top, huh!
Everybody's goin' strong (uhu hu hu)
And that is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say

Chorus

Up above my head I hear music in the air - I hear music!
That makes me know there's (somebody)a promise somewhere

Satisfaction came in a chain reaction - Do you hear?
I couldn't get enough, so I had to self destruct,
The heat was on, rising to the top
Everybody's goin' strong
That is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say

Chorus

I just can't stop
When(till) my spark gets hot
Just can't stop
When my spark gets hot

Burning, burning, burning, burning

OK...lot's of songs being mentioned but no one seems brave enough to explain why? Do these ditties have deep meanings that we are all afraid of exploring or is it more a case of can't be arsed!??? :D

No secrets with mine Kharis, I'm a fireman, and if there is one, likely to go to Hell when I pop off this mortal coil.

Going Underground by the Jam

Reasons: Well All through my life so far I've had one hell of a laugh and will carry on doing so, until, I go underground. And I hope that the people who come to my funeral will have a laugh while that tune is being played and celebrate my passing while I bimble up the stairway to heaven, no hang on Hell probably.

As Joseph Hill Said:
'Good boys and girls go to heaven
Bad boys and girls go EVERYWHERE!!'
