The petition is nearly upto 1000 signatures

If you've signed, thanks for your support

If you haven't, please take the time. Even if you're not keen on sport, please note that the club looks after 12 acres of green space in the middle of the county town, which, unfortunately is also in jeopardy.

Thanks to everyone who has signed our Petition so far. It's going to hopefully help our cause in protecting the future of Hockey and Cricket in the Borough. The plan is to present our petition at the meeting of the Council on Tuesday 23rd February 2016. We feel as one of the leading providers of sporting facilities in the Borough that our voice should be heard and the support of the public is most appreciated.

Please keep sharing and encouraging more people to sign to save a club with 152 years of history and sporting heritage.

So all you need to do is resubmit your proposal - you have already missed a trick by not doing so many, many times already, but water under the bridge and all that .

Bung on it an added screen - either along your boundary with the Sow, so the ducks can't see how much money you are milking from your 'cash cow', or along your boundary with 'Evans Park', so the ducks can't see any other game than football being played (anything other than football confuses them) - include a flood evacuation plan to muster at Blessed Bills (even though you don't need one), and you should have the Planning Officer eating out of your hand. Like a particularly brave duck.

Simples?

Did I read in the newsletter that appeals are on hold while some secret deals are going on between council and club?

I highly doubt SCHC are involved in any "secret deals", the club need a Hockey pitch or two in Stafford preferably at Riverway. But personally I think just a pitch anywhere in Stafford would please most members at the moment. The only agreement in place at present is the club has been asked by England Hockey to delay any actions it would take while they try to........( I'm not really sure how to end this sentence)........come up with a solution?

Secret deals?? lol

We've basically been asked not to cause any mischief in the short term. And as we are in the poop, we have agreed.....

We would echo Rikki's comments

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
I'm designing a multi storey sports pitch at the moment

On the first floor we have hockey
On the second floor we have hockey
On the third floor we have low level football
On the fourth floor we have netball

It's at an advance stage of development or it would be if I could just find the back of the envelope I was using at 3.00am after apparently 'spilling' half a bottle of whiskey

It appears we have been trolling and have now been told off because we are actually being "helped" by the people we are allegedly "trolling".
Read the article? Bet you didn't know your council leader was actually superman did you? (is this trolling?)

Anyway, to add that last paragraph in his message it almost certainly means that the council have a plan coming to fruition and an announcement imminent....

I've not read the article but I do know there's a meeting between SBC and the company that manage the facilities at Graham Balfour this Thursday...
