Seen two even through the cloud - cloud breaking a little, but not nearly enough.

Still a couple of hours until peak, so fingers crossed.

There does look to be clear sky to our west and it's moving this way, if it does not fill in we might have a few breaks after 1 am ? Activity looks quite good.

According to an email I have just received from AuroraWatchUK, we are on red alert today. This "should" mean that the aurora is visible from anywhere in the UK tonight.
AuroraWatchUK said:
It is likely that aurora will be visible by eye and camera from anywhere
in the UK. Viewing aurora requires clear, dark skies away from light
pollution.

To monitor current activity see http://aurorawatch.lancs.ac.uk.

Issued 2016-08-23 13:25 UTC (14:25 BST) by AuroraWatch UK using SAMNET
LAN2 data from Lancaster, UK.

Dear AuroraWatch UK subscriber,

We apologise for the earlier false alert (issued 13:25 UTC today) which was caused by a lawnmower creating a local disturbance at our Lancaster site. For more information please see
http://wp.lancs.ac.uk/aurorawatchuk/2016/08/23/red-alert-cancelled/

I DONT KNOW WHETHER TO LAUGH OR CRY!

I think they had a glitch a while back, although that was not issuing a warning when there was activity
Current activity is up but not enough for us this far south ?
