Leave or Remain?

Here we are now.

One has to assume that one is surrounded by those that voted Leave in the Referendum of 2016, given that the good people of Stafford voted overwhelmingly 56 to 44, overwhelmingly, to Leave.

Overwhelmingly.

Do the vast majority of you that overwhelmingly voted to Leave by a massive margin of 8% still think that we should just get on with it? Given that you have such an overwhelming mandate, one assumes that you feel that this is beyond any reasonable doubt?

We should just plough on, yes?

There is only so long you can keep saying this is what we voted for before you have to question yourself, easier to Bury your head in the sand now and hope it all blows over.

Most I know don't even understand what no deal entails, but by God do they want it!

TBH every time I go away I get asked about why I want brexit, and I have to explain that only a very slim majority of British people are thick. Actually I didn't get asked in the Azores, which was refreshing as even a bloke working a food stall in a night market in Thailand asked me!

I was walking home from the pub the other night when I met an alien. (This is not an unusual occurrence on my way home from the pub.) He told me he was from the Sombrero Galaxy which I figured was somewhere near Mexico, but he assured me it was over 30 million light years further away. (They must have ships almost as fast as a Suzuki GSXR1100L !!! )

Anyway he asked me the same thing and I told him I voted to remain. "You mean," he grunted. "I've come all this way for a Brexiteer and the first person I meet isn't one ?"
I pointed out that it was a slim majority, in fact, taking into account those who didn't bother to vote technically it can't even be stated for sure that it was a majority. Then I asked him why he wanted to meet a Brexiteer.

He looked up at an enormous shadow that was blocking out the stars and said: "I have a special lab prepared onboard, to perform strange alien sexual experiments on them."

Well I'm not a Brexiteer, …. but I ******* legged it anyway. :o:teef:

It's not democratic to change your mind, but it's democratic to shut down parliament? We live in very dangerous times.

Yup , its the underhand way the Tories have always done things.
.... The other tactic they like to use is when something they want to do is against the law , they change the law to suit that purpose.

Apparently if they lose the confidence vote next week they'll call a GE. For 1st November. No doubt to ensure we crash out.

OOh, I've not posted about this to poke my brexiteer mates. I am positive they will think shutting down our government is exactly the sort of taking back control they want, but I like to get them to post these things publicly so that I can go back and point to them later.
