Any royal mail problems in Stafford ?

A few posts under my belt
Hi All,

I just wondered if there are any problems with Royal Mail in stafford at the moment ? I've not even seen a postman in my area this week (just off the Eccleshall road near doxey marshes) , neither me nor my neighbours have received any post yesterday or today. I had a recorded delivery item sent to me on Friday and it's still not arrived ggrrrr.

post dodgy here more often than not.........postman usually plods up as late as 4pm some days. Except saturdays when he arrives around 9.30am - but there again it is the weekend!

I've had problems again this week with my post not arriving or arriving late. My insurance documents were sent out Tuesday last week by 1st class post and only turned up this afternoon, 9 days later ! Before ringing them again yesterday for copies I asked my neighbour whether he'd seen any posties on their rounds . His answer was "Yes, I've received some post today, but it isn't mine, it's for another street. "
It will be interesting to see how long it takes the copies ,that were sent out first class yesterday ,to reach me.

(Last year my travel documents which were posted from Thomsons Shop in Stafford in January actually reached me at the end of April partly torn open. )

I've had lots of problems with royal mail. Letters taking days to arrive or not even arriving. Their parcel delivery is no better i've had more than one parcel "go missing" and they refuse to pay any money even if you have insurance so don't bother.

We've had two special delivery parcels in recent months, both have been shoved through the door without asking for a signature.

Had post yesterday but couldn't make head nor tail of most of it as it was all sopping wet as if it had been dropped in a puddle and then chewed by a passing dog

My main compliant is it's been too cold for the cute ones to start wearing shorts yet, roll on summer...

Mrs Stafford Beast had a chewed-up, oversized, almost-open envelope with about 15 copies of the same form from North Staffs Hospital posted through the door yesterday. We still have no idea who or why we have been sent these, and why so many copies of the same form we have not requested. Also why it was so chewed up with stains all over it.

Some are just more prepared to put the effort in than others..

I ordered something from an Amazon shop last wednesday which said it was dispatched last friday. It still hadnt arrived yesterday (Wednesday) so I contacted them about it - they gave me a tracking number - it's a next day recorded delivery item which was posted out YESTERDAY!
so in this instance it was lost by the seller, not the post.

I've just had a parcel delivered by Royal Mail. Signed for and everything. I ordered it, from a place in Cornwall, at 1:30 yesterday afternoon. That's good enough for me.

I see that Royal Mail are now offering a highly innovative service.

If they will actually be able to have provided this service, then I wonder if anybody could send me the next Euromillions numbers via the same arrangements, costs refunded, of course?

I've often wondered what happens to the parcels they can't deliver on a Saturday... Collected a parcel from them on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago and every other person was being turned away being told their item hasn't been checked back in...

Seems lazy that they can't be checked back in at the end of their Saturday deliveries......

They once found a postman living on our estate had bags and bags of un-delivered post and parcels in his garage , which had been mounting up for ages ....
