Well, as expected, nothing appeared today, but the website tracker is still 'predicting' today for delivery..

Parcelforce chap has just delivered it, and confirmed that it would never have arrived on Sunday..

The website tracker is still 'predicting' yesterday for the expected delivery.

Hmm, no mail for ages then when it does arrive.. I have my neighbour's post delivered in error.. this is becoming quite a regular occurrence now

My Dad's seed potatoes arrived - in Ireland - last week. A few days later the postman arrived with another similar-looking parcel whose label had had the top two lines of the address torn off somehow, on the basis that he might know who it could be for - which he did - mission accomplished.

Gah, yesterday had yet another occasion where the postie decided to post the 'sorry you were out' card without actually knocking on the door. Which meant that for my partner to get his valentines gift on time, I had to get up obscenely early to get to the post office before work this morning. Grr

I did a post-office redirect, quadruple checked all the details, was told I'd get a letter to my old property to confirm within 5 days.. I didn't get one, so I'm unsure if I've peed away almost £20 or not...

Send yourself a letter at your old address.

Had one of Royal Mail's service update emails last week... The gist of it was that changes are being made to rounds in Stafford as part of their modernisation plan, post will be delivered for a longer period during the day (fewer rounds then?) so may mean getting post earlier or later than now, and there might be a "period of adjustment"....

Royal Mail have just delivered my post (on a Sunday :lorks: 10:20); probably explains why I got none yesterday.

Royal Mail has been trialling delivering parcels to neighbours...

I'm not convinced at all, if it comes to Stafford I shall be opting out.

Errrm.........Reading the bit on that link that says 'Royal Mail is the only major delivery company currently not allowed to deliver to a neighbour as part of standard practice'

The Royal Mail posties and Royal Mail parcel delivery vans (along with lots of other companies)have been leaving me my neighbours parcels most weeks for the last few years as all 3 houses nearby are out at work all day. I've even taken in a parcel for people the other end of the street last xmas from Royal Mail when the delivery bloke saw me in my front garden. Not seen them push a card through their door at all - good job I'm trustworthy!

It concerns me that any delivery firm will drop parcels with neighbours, as you allude to it is all fine when they are trustworthy! If they aren't trust worthy who is liable when something disappears...? I'd rather opt-in to it than have to opt-out. As far as RM go, it isn't an issue for me as the postie leaves in a safe place, but I would be unhappy if he started to leave parcels with neighbours without my permission (most are fine, one is a bit loopy however). Where couriers are concerned, I virtually always have stuff delivered to work as some do leave with neighbours whilst others won't leave in a safe place because they need a signature. I don't understand why all couriers don't give the option of a safe place, at your risk (which could be marked on the delivery label), which would save them zillions of pounds in having to do repeat deliveries!!

My mate's a postie. He went to work at 6am yesterday only to be told that they'd changed his day off from Monday to Tuesday...when he asked why he'd not been notified of the change they said they'd posted him a letter, but he never received it!

A number of birthday cards and important letters we were expecting have not turned up over the last few weeks. Has anyone else had this issue? Obviously in Wildwood.

Thanks,

Paul

I'm on Wildwood and I've had lots not turn up as I know of...... phoned up to complain once and was just given a complaint number.

Had a first today though . Paid a deposit for a holiday late on Saturday and the posted receipt from Torquay came through my letter box first thing this morning!
