Had to go in for a physical examination so got my dad to give me a lift, but his car's air-con is broken so after sitting in that for half an hour I read a high temperature when I went to go in! XD Luckily I have a thermometer at home so I was able to assure the GP that I didn't have one before I left.

Enjoying a drop of red.
No @tek-monkey, I only recognise him with the doggos anyhow! The carer is now very hyper. Not sure I can put up with this much excitement!

The drone has to be in unaided line of sight, so he should be nearby. It must also have the operators I'd on the drone, so if you knock it out of the sky you can trace the guy easily.

Pretty sure you can't fly within 50m of people either without further certification, could be worth filming how close the drone gets to you.

Yeah unless it’s a class C0 (<250g) which means you can flow closer and over people, or Class C1 (<500g) which means you can fly closer but not over. The exception to this is people “involved with your activity” don’t count (that doesn’t include strangers)

Your average DJI is not going to be lighter than 500g, nor would most drones that would be noisy at that height.

You also aren’t allowed to fly it in recreational areas such as parks, etc

You could always just jam the signal mid-flight when it’s quiet and watch it smack into a tree.

A friend has been filling me in on a few more of these details, I didn't realise you could fly the smaller ones over people. I'd been eyeing up the dji mini 2, conveniently 249g.

Well , yesterdays mundane facts ... Had a lovely day giving the car a much needed run out and having a few hours freedom to myself :)

After intercepting Mr UPS man as he was knocking at another door down our street, discovered he did infact have sons awaited parcel of Astro Turf boots which he needed for this mornings match (Yet another delayed delivery , but knew damn well with my history of deliveries being jinxed they wouldn't come in time for last weeks first league game).

Sick of creeping around the house during the many conference calls , and the news that I had the creeping around for at least another 3 months, rang son and asked if I could drive down with his stuff while he was out at work. (He's in a support bubble with us anyway, but been staying away until he gets a test before visiting us next week when he's off)

Threw the Vax carpet cleaner in the car, along with the parcel and a bag full of easter presents that I bought him instead of an egg.
Stopped off en-route to buy him a massive egg anyway  , feeling very pleased with myself being brave enough to enter a shop again.
Feeling even more pleased with myself entering the petrol station shop and getting bits and bobs whilst paying for the fuel.
Nice chat with his neighbour . Had a big fuss from her cat who was on mouse patrol , keeping them well away from me while I was in the garden.

Shampooed all his carpets , did all his gardening, filled the car full to bring back to sling in my brown bin.
Then a quick nip into sons store on my way back late at night , where he treated me to my tea . Sat and enjoyed it in the carpark before a nice drive home.

Feel a bit more like I've joined the real world again.

I only realised today that it is already April. Over the first three months of this year, I have been in three other buildings, beyond the House and the Shed - the hardware shop, the supermarket and the Wilko's-type shop - and I have not been further than 5,200 metres from the house.

We should, post-Easter, have a bit of an extension to The Zone - this extension (currently) seems likely to encompass the entire county, plus areas within other counties that are within 20km of home. If this is what happens, it will include 100% of areas that I am likely to want to go to in 'normal' circumstances. It would mean that I can have the excitement of a Lidl run and I can access the Forbidden Mountains again. I will also be able to undertake longer bike trips, one of the first may be to investigate the prototype for the city of Salzburg.
