As documented elswhere one of my pet hates is when your doing a nice steady 95 - 100 ish in lane three and you have some git sitting just inches off your front bumper.

In general the standard of driving in Germany is much higher than over here.
But be prepared, on autobahns you can be cruising at three figure speeds and still be overtaken 'with authority' shall we say, eg as if you were standing still. Porsches and big Mercs seeming to be the main weapons of choice.

Agreed. I drove a RHD van back from Prague across Germany. It had no rear windows and so everything depended on the far door mirror. It was mostly two-lane autobahn and I had absolutely no problem all the way - I almost turned round to do it again - it was like going back thirty years. At one point, I was doing 95 mph and noticed a red car appear over the hill behind me - a few seconds later he went past, at a good 200 mph, knocking the van a few inches sideways. The most pleasurable driving that I've done this century.

I hadn't got out of the Tunnel car park back here before some bastard cut me up....
