Just a few more. This was the first floor kitchen area formed out a room which was accessed via it's own staircase which has been boarded over to form part of the middle floor dining room (I tried to explain this over the weekend but hopefully these pic will help). First photo is of the (no longer staircase which is now part of the middle floor dining room

Not many more! The next set is of the middle floor dining room on the fist file you can see that the feature wall was cut in half by a stud addition which formed the side wall to the staircase I boarded over (pic 1 from the previos set of photos). The wall with the plug has gone and the staircase that was previously on the other side of this wall has been boarded over to create a good sized dining room (bringing back to it's original size).

Just like to say a big thanks to all the people that managed to pop in over the weekend and a big sorry for anyone who missed out (I was a little late in getting the invite out). I think it's important to share our heritage as much as possible as it needs to be protected. Bringing these building back into life ensures that they are properly maintained and not to let to rot like so many buildings around Stafford. Having spent 3 month restoring windows I have noticed the state of all the windows on the remaining buildings around Martin Street & Eastgate Street! If someone doesn't get on top of this they will simply rot away. Have a look next time you are passing.

Great photos. Looks really good. Brilliant to see at least one of the old buildings in town being saved.
Must say though, it's the before stuff i like, with all the nooks and crannies and stuff hidden behind walls!
Don't even get me started on lofts & cellars!! So think the Right Move pics wouldn't really be up my street.
What's the plan with the cellar? You are keeping the door right? :o)
Not the best view, but one of the only "before, before" pics i could find online:

Thank you for our tour round on Sunday. Very informative. Always good to see a tired building brought back into use. You have worked very hard on this.

Yes the cellar will remain in all its glory (part vaulted behind that door). There are 6 separate areas down there so would be right up you street.

Great photo! Big shame that all those other houses have been lost! How on earth did we get from that photo in 1966 to the carpark that preceded the new council HQ? What was the plan?

That picture is fantastic, our Council has a lot to answer for and they are still destroying our town!

You have to hand it to them Roland, they are very efficient at destroying.

You now don't have to wait for a building to be completed before bits start
falling off; Tipping Towers, Scaffoldshire Place, Arndale2, take your pick.

There are a few others showing Tipping Street (just type it in the quick search box), but they don't really show your place (LLFC). I have loads of books of old pics of Stafford & surrounds at home (bit obsessed!), so will have a look and see if there are any others, and will try and put them on here if i do find any.

This one is a view from the other end of the road (Superdrug end) looking towards Eastgate Street & think 15 Tipping Street can be seen in the far distance.

I could bore you all all day (but i won't!), as even mentioning Superdrug above makes me wonder why they knocked the Alexandra Hotel down to replace it with the "lovely architecture" that is the Superdrug building! :(

It makes me depressed seeing all the old photographs of Stafford because it shows the amount of lovely buildings that have been demolished and replaced with rubbish; Superdrug, Mercedes Benz Dealership, Santander bank, Boots etc etc!
