Does anyone have ideas/experiences of venues (not too expensive) that will host an 18th birthday party in Stafford. The party be for family and friends. Varied age groups, she wants the usual, disco, food etc:toot: (I was hoping for a jazz band! but she wont entertain the idea)

Certainly worth a look at IMHO. (& tekkers has saved me having to look up the contact details!)It has a new manager, and loads of work has been done tarting up the place If you have any disabled people coming, I commend them. Along side the general refit of the facilities, they have now got a large disabled loo!:slayer: I have heard they are keen to encourage people to use the place, so you might find it competatively priced!

Amasal don't do 18th , cricket clubs need you to hire bouncers at a coat of £200 (witch is ridiculous ), I'm struggling to find a place that isn't to too much costs

Enjoying a drop of red.
Try a village hall, or which there are plenty round abouts.

Is the club at St Leonards still open?

When my stepson was in the sixth form he went to quite a few 18th birthday parties at the hall which is opposite the church on Castle Bank.

I picked him up from a couple. Lots of girls crying because they had argued with a friend/been dumped by their beloved. Boys looking moody and socially inept. Apparently a good night. Who'd be a teenager again?

I recently used Stafford Cricket Club for a Christening. Good size room with bar, friendly staff and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend

Under the club's license we have to have two doormen for 18th and 21st birthdays. In the past we had two regular experienced doormen who charged £50 each paid direct by the hirer. Unfortunately, they now don't have the current accreditation which means we have to use a security company for this service with all the associated costs involved. We just wanted to clarify this, as its certainly not a charge born from profiteering. In this instance it would appear we have lost some business for something out of our control.
