50 TV RECOMMENDATIONS

I am buying a 50' TV for a Christmas Present for my daughter, I've read all the reviews and the specs of different ones on the internet. I just though I would ask on the forum if anyone has got one and if they think its good or bad if the one they bought has any problems and if anyone thinks a particular one is good. I only want to pay about 800.00 for one.One ot things i've read is that certain screens lose their clarity and others dont have a good side view.

Any experts on the forum?

I don't have anything like you want, but, I know Sainsburys have a lot of the Celcus televisions returned.

Have they a large lounge ? a 50" would look better if you can sit a reasonable distance away from it. I think I would be comparing what quality is available with 42" and 50" at the £800 price point and seeing if a better quality, smaller, tv would be a better compromise.

thanks for that link the Samsung UE55JU6400 seems to have good reviews i've been looking at this one on other sites.

We need a massive tv cause my daughter has a sight problem and the low vision centre said the only way to improve her viewing expereince was to have a massive TV so i want the picture quality to be a good as possible and not have any problems from the size or the power.

We've got a 55" Samsung and we would highly recommend it - we love it. It was £1400 a couple of years ago but I'm sure the older series sets will have come down in price now.
