Can you name the only way out of Stafford that doesn't involve going up an incline/hill?

Through one of these tunnels/'priest holes'?! http://www.staffordforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=3916

I expect Withnail's answer is correct though!

If you head out to Eccleshall you dont hit a proper incline til you leave Cresswell. Or am I wrong there?
A34 North & South have banks and bridges, A449 does too, as does A518 East & West. Only sort of incline on Eccy Road is the old Railway Bridge and thats a doddle. Its also not quite going out of town, if i want to be picky..........

It's an incline and the sign welcoming you to the Borough of Stafford is up by the M6 junction.

Stafford, the borough thereof, seems to be quite a bit larger than the surrounds of the built-up 'town'

so I guess when referring to Stafford you could say it starts at Trentham Gardens and ends somewhere between Newport, Rugeley and Uxeta..

The word Borough has its origins in the Anglo-Saxon word 'burh', which denotes a walled and ditched enclosure, which in Stafford's case applies only to the town centre.
Strictly speaking few of us live in the Borough of Stafford.

Hey Mitch, the only way out of Stafford that is flat is if you die and go to the Crem.

Now where did I fasten that hot dog? :aboot:
