Wish I could get back into running, the old knees just won't let me do it nowadays! So jealous of all of you getting out there . I was a founder member of Stafford Harriers and used to love the club runs and the social side of it as well. But buggered my knees up racing up to marathon distance. Lots of those who just ran at a slower steady pace at the time are still to be seen running around the streets.
Keep up the running @kyoto49 , and well done on the 10k . Hope you manage to get into it @wildwood . May see you passing me as I walk around the ring-road sometime
That's a really good time too.
I was at the finishing line to cheer on a mate, was amazed at some of the times! I'd be ecstatic at 41 minutes but guess it depends on your usual pace.I've managed a 60 minute 10k but not sure I can speed it up. The OH, however, did 41 minutes in the Stafford 10k and was disappointed...
Has anyone ever used those bone conduction earphones? I need to vary where I run, at present I stick to the isobel trail but need to start venturing further. I need music though, and am not comfortable blocking out everything if near roads.
The common to millennium Green is nearly 5k, few loopscaround there then back may do it!Or you could run the Isobel trail into town and then pick it up again on the other side of the Doxey Road and continue the "Tek-no traffic" tunes virtually to infinity, well Gnosall at least
