It never ceases to amaze me why a housing association should be arranging educational events rather than concentrating on what they should be doing which is providing good quality affordable housing!

Does it really matter?

Not wanting to stereotype, but if you need a housing association house chances are your job prospects aren't that great. They are probably better placed than most to target these things

I have been on one of these free courses and it was excellent!

For me the housing association offer affordable housing to people who are struggling to support themselves, whether that be due to family circumstances, unemployment or any other personal issues.

So the fact that they are trying to help the people they support (and local community) in confidence boosting and finding employment is fantastic!

Rather than just remedying the 'problem' they are helping people to actively improve themselves, and in the long run be able to leave social housing and become independent.

I think its a wonderful opportunity and I have fully enjoyed the course I have taken and met some amazing people :)
