This kind of service has been available in many cities for donkey's years - my brother was even considering setting such a service up here but the licencing requirements put him off.

As ever though, I'm glad to see some enterprise and wish Mr Moonshine the best of luck with his running business!

Edit: Perhaps our very own Applied Autosport could provide him with a suitable vehicle for such a business.

how does the licensing for this work, and also couldnt see any contact details on the website, so effectively I could just be sending my hard earned to a nigerian* scammer. The whois info tells me the registrant lives in my street but thats all.

*other scammers are available.

I believe the licensing is around the fact that corner shops can sell alcohol for consumption off the premesis

The best service of this kind I saw was the man on a fold up push bike who would cycle around town and deliver alcohol and cigarettes to people. If you had driven somewhere and had a drink he would cycle to you and drive you and your car home with his bike in the boot. Not surprisingly the service I saw was available in Glasgow and he seemed like a busy and enterprising lad.

I think it's a great idea........the number of times we've been fighting over the last of the cans & by that time not been able to drive out to buy more in.

Looks like a good idea but where is the delivery price? minimum order value is £15, which is fine, but not mentioned until you add something to the cart under that value.

and it won't give me a delivery price until I create an account and log in.

I'd like to know this up front before I sign up to more spam for my inbox.

The terms and conditions - http://mrmoonshine.co.uk/info.php?articles&articles_id=15&sid=557fa7b0a28ba20b755f744e224c9acd - state that there is no delivery charge for orders over £40, although what the delivery charge would be for an order between the minimum order of £15 and the 'free delivery' order of £40 is not immediately apparent.
