Talking of floods I was up by the Tixall Road tree a couple of years ago (that very wet winter) with the intention of dismantling my pylon and stealing away with it into the night. But the bloody thing was flooded !

Chainsaw festival this afternoon at the top end of Sainsbury's car park - presumably to gain access to the access for the Western Access Route.

No, they're going to access the access access using helicopters and a crack squad of paratroopers. Any excess access will be closed off after egress.

This one has been felled in the last week. That is three mature trees within 100 yards of each other which have been chopped down in the last couple of months.

Does anyone know the status of the trees on the new ruby club area of the Marshes? There are some lovely massive old Oaks in the way of that carpar, and some other very large trees that I am unable to identify along the track to the gate. Do these all have preservation orders on them?

This is jsut wanted destruction isn;t it :(. Clearly no health issue with that lovely little tree. Is it part of the land associated with the house, or is is council land?
