Chainsaw festival this afternoon at the top end of Sainsbury's car park - presumably to gain access to the access for the Western Access Route.

Nah, it's so they can go round the forever-there flood.

Talking of floods I was up by the Tixall Road tree a couple of years ago (that very wet winter) with the intention of dismantling my pylon and stealing away with it into the night. But the bloody thing was flooded !

I have been told they have a Preservation Order on them but, that hasn't stopped idiots before, chopping trees down.

Does anyone know the status of the trees on the new ruby club area of the Marshes? There are some lovely massive old Oaks in the way of that carpar, and some other very large trees that I am unable to identify along the track to the gate. Do these all have preservation orders on them?

This is jsut wanted destruction isn;t it . Clearly no health issue with that lovely little tree. Is it part of the land associated with the house, or is is council land?

I don't know the house owners. In fact I have never seen anyone at the house despite signs of someone living there.
