Any DVD player recommendations?

My mum has decided she wants to join the 21st century and get a DVD player for the telly, so she can watch all the DVDs she gets with newspapers from a comfy chair in front of the telly. As the family's resident geek, I've been asked to recommend, buy and install one.

Anyone know any over-the-counter players that are particularly bargainous atm? I don't particularly want to buy it online, I want to know she can walk into a shop with a receipt and raise hell if it goes wrong after I've gone.

Asda or Tesco take your pick. Either should be less than £20.

I picked one up for £12 at Tesco just before Christmas.

Works well, and plays *ahem* backups no problem.
