I used to frequent Ma Pardoes when the world was in black and white

Funny you should mention 'Ma Pardoes' as I went there May 2011 one boiling hot day, I mean really hot and humid, had a meet with a group of BC Family Historians. Was really disappointed as the drinks were warm, ok it was very hot, but who wants a warm coke out of can, so rather disappointing really, sort of put a damper on the festivities or lack of them!
