As many of you will already be aware, last year in December I started what I imagine would have been the first musically animated Christmas lightshow for miles around. It wasn't press released though so attendance wasn't great for my first year, but however still managed to raise over a hundred pounds for the Special Care Baby Unit at Stafford District General Hospital.
To find out more about what it's about you can see the website and video at www.staffordlights.co.uk
I ran into a few technical troubles though last year and want to upgrade the equipment to some which is produced by experts in America, www.animatedlighting.com
However, this sets me back and means that by my own cashflow I will not be able to put on a show this year.
Another forumite (Cookie_Monster) has suggested that I might offer sponsorship deals to raise the £500 which is required. She and I thought that an ideal situation would be 10 sponsors at £50 each, therefore looking for 10 businesses in total.
Kindly, Cookie offered to be the first. My business partnership would also be another. Therefore we would still need 8 more sponsors.
So what would the £50 do for you in return....
I would guarantee a banner displayed on the front wall at the address of the lightshow during the whole of December each year with details of all sponsors.
A Facebook group would exist for the lightshow which would also offer links for all sponsors.
The official website at www.staffordlights.co.uk would include website links for all sponsors.
Hopefully this year a good press release would also mention the support of local businesses which we could hopefully get mentioned.
Any posters would include sponsors details.
Finally, the satisfaction of knowing that your business helped a little towards making something happen that every year will raise money for the SCBU... contributing towards the cost of equipment that (without donations) the unit couldn't afford... Equipment that can essentially give life support to babies who might not survive without.
Please show your interest in this thread, or if preferred you can private message me using the PM link to the left of this text. If you have any questions please fire away, and thanks for your time in reading this.
Kind Regards
Wayne
