    Hi,

As well as the window I posted about yesterday (and I have contacted somebody about that) I need my badly overgrown garden tackled. I asked one person who has been mentioned on the forum but that person thought it was too big a job and someone who did it for me some years ago has retired.

Mum and dad use Garden Angels.

    https://staffordgardenangels.co.uk/

You'd need to get a quote to see how much they would charge for your garden but the folks' garden is pretty big and the cost is very reasonable in my opinion. Dad is very pleased with their work.

Thanks - I've shot them an email (I had already emailed Age Concern in case they could suggest anyone). Of course nothing can be settled over the weekend.

+1 for Garden Angels, they did our garden when we first had it landscaped, designed all the flower beds, etc, and even loaned us a few things to spruce it up for our wedding reception.

I think we're currently paying something like £15-20/month for 2 people for 2 hours every month which is pretty damn reasonable. We both hate dealing with the tidy-up aspect of the garden and are stupidly busy so it works well for us.

I'm sure they can deal with the tidy-up, unless it's the kind of tidy-up that's more suited to a landscaper than a garden maintenance service.

I contacted Garden Angels earlier in the week after seeing this post, apparently they're full.

Yes, I had a reply that the angels couldn't take on any more work at present (they were very polite). I'll keep on trying - there has to be someone somewhere who has capacity. (I took note of a couple of firms from flyers/cards at the launderette today.

I don't know exactly, Carole, and I don't want to dox myself but think 1930's semi ribbon development (when first built only a field behind) like on the way to the Crem.

Crazy Rat Lady, Lisa already came and had a look last week and thought it was on the large side for her; nice polite lady though. I have a couple of recommendations by word of mouth but if neither of those turn out alright I will come and "revive" this post. Somebody has mentioned someone who might be able to do the window frames also.

General maintenance, weeding, tidying borders, knowing what needs pruning and doing it without prompting etc.

A report on the results might be useful to others in the future.
