Anyone on here a carer? Staffordshire Breaks for Carers

We are promoting a county-wide fund which carers can dip into to help them take a break.

Anyone providing a substantial amount of care can apply for a small grant which they can use towards the cost of replacement care to give them a bit of time off.

The fund is expected to be available until the end of March next year, but that really depends on demand - it might get used up sooner if there's a lot of interest.

Hi, I just wanted to say that the fund for carers opportunity that you are running is great to see. I had worked privately as a carer in the past and had seen the effects and pressures it had on the persons family. Family members particularly need breaks from their caring roles so that for the time that you give them, they can be their own person again. I hope that this scheme continues to run and I know that their are carers out there that deserve to have a break.
