Anyone seen any water?

Hmm - the intertubes tell me that 'lerak' is an Indonesian soap nut.

Unlikely to be causing problems in ST18 one would have thought.

Hi

Think most of the water is sat on the back lane out through Doxey (Long Lane), beyond the Derrington turnoff around Dale Lane

Puddle was pretty deep.

All the best

I've found your water, that pesky Lerak must have dropped it whilst fleeing into the wmids. It all over the lanes around here.

If you see Lerak, can you tell him that due to his inconsiderate soap nut shenanigans, Flossietoo is experiencing low pressure. And water that looks like milk - which admittedly makes a bath look very luxurious.

I attempted to cycle out that way this morning, negotiated one flood here, only to find it impassable here even by the method of carrying my bike along the verge (I got ankle deep before turning back). I then tried to take Dale Lane only to find an even worse flood under the railway bridge there.

Now I'm not saying it was karma but I watched a white van that had only seconds earlier forced me off the road ford that one only for his engine to emit a loud pop and refuse to restart in a cloud of steam at the other side....

So I went back the way I'd come.

I drove along that way yesterday and again today. Yesterday it was so bad at one point, I began to have serious doubts as to whether I was still on the road or had somehow floated into one of the fields. It was too late to turn back so I just held on to the steering wheel very tightly and hoped I wouldn't need to swim. I do not drive a van but I do still miss Karma.

Strangely when I went down there on Wednesday night, the first spot (where I expected there to be a deep puddle) wasn't bad at all. The 2nd was a bit of a surprise and was a lot deeper than I expected; far deeper than the first puddle.

Only wish that his van'dve conked out cos of all the water. But he wouldn't have posted it if it had...would he?

I had go Barlaston yesterday and saw that flood, ended up goin as far as Tittensor. If i'd tried goin thru all that water in the little Diahatsu I were driving, I wouldn't have got more than a foot in before the engine died.
