Anyone want some pond fish?

Winter is approaching fast and I'm not able to justify the expense of my new pond, so my fish are still living in a kids paddling pool. Does anyone have a pond capable of taking about 10 fish, most are only around 6" but at least 2 are over 18". Measurements not exact, I've never tried measuring one! They are mainly koi, although 2 may be goldfish. I don't really have a clue what has survived.

So, anyone want to restock a pond? Long shot I know, but need to find somewhere they stand a better chance than my house!

I can ask my next door neighbour who has a smallish pond width wise, but its very deep. As he also does fishing I am sure he knows people who may be able to take some. Are you selling them or giving them away?

We've had people deposit fish in the moat house pools before now and they seem to live a long life, so feel free to come and make the most of the moat house pools if required.
Better keep their heads down on a Tuesday...?

I'm giving them away, I just want them somewhere that they'll survive the winter. Size wise I may have been a little optimistic, I'd say the bigger ones are a little over 12" rather than 18". I'll make a new pond in the spring, I need to sort my house out before my garden though.

That is great, thanks a lot. If nobody wants them for their ponds I'll certainly take you up on that. Do I need to let you know I'm doing this, or just turn up and let them loose?

Just turn up and let them loose - or if the ponds got ice on it, make a little hole first!!

Chris, Thanks for your kind donation of the hot plate counter, so many people we know are bowled over by your generosity, we will put it to great use! Incidentally, I used to work at the Swan as you were taking it over but I left just before you arrived, great job you have done! (sorry to hijack your thread)

If you can't pass your fish on, I'm sure they would look good on the hotplate! :heyhey:
