    Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to know if any of you have an Apple Watch? I'm currently looking at the series 3. I've followed them since they were released like all Apple products and now I'm quite interested. WWDC18 was a bit disappointing though.

I need to know how good they are at tracking calories? I've watched a few YouTube reviews and they seem to glaze over the most important part for me!

So if anyone uses one... How accurate is it?

I have had an Original Watch for three years and have been using the Activity app for most of that time. It does track calories, both 'Active' calories and 'Total'. 'Active' calories are calories burnt when actually active and these are also tracked when using the Workout app. Total calories are the total burnt throughout the day.

As for accuracy... I can only assume it's accurate as I have no other way to track how many calories I burn each day.

About as accurate as you’d expect the calorie tracking to be based on heart rate really. It’s not a terribly exact measure but gets the job done within a margin of error. I needed to shed a few pounds and used my watch to track my workouts. Must have worked to an extent as I did lose the pounds.

I like mine, it’s really useful for notifications and stuff like reminding you to take a minute to calm yourself and breathe is a nice touch and can be quite calming.
