There are differences, Architectural Technologists work on a very broad range of work, and are accredited by CIAT, a body which works closely with both RIBA and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building). People calling themselves an Architectural Technologist, likewise an Architect, must have a degree in their field and have accredited experience.so must call themselves architectural designers, architectural technologists or architectural consultants.
That is indeed true - I should have made that clearer, but was simply differentiating from fully qualified architects. Technologists have a degree and are trained in different skills which are designed to fit neatly with the skills of an architect, structural engineer etc. in order to complete the job efficiently. Most practices employ architects, technologists and structural engineers (smaller practices sometimes choose to employ the services of a company of structural engineers, instead of employing full time).tekkers said:There are differences, Architectural Technologists work on a very broad range of work, and are accredited by CIAT, a body which works closely with both RIBA and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building).
