Are You Beach Body Ready?

I wouldn't worry @Carole -

Summers over, the shops aren't selling bikinis anymore, the icecream vans gone back into storage, and it's forecast torrential rain until December (then the snow starts)

So basically who cares!!

Beach body? Not the best way - rough weather can expose them and advances in forensic techniques can pose a subsequent danger.

Ideally, a deep hole in woodland, with strong plastic netting over the body and wire-tied to nearby tree roots - that's my recommendation.

My body is beach ready, if you consider I'm like a whale.I have stretch marks and varicose and thread veins. I have long since given up hope of fitting into a size 12, but I've also gone past caring what others think of me.
I have enough to cope with having suffered from depression for the last 11 years. Some days it's all I can do to brush my teeth, never mind eat sumat decent. I'm not after sympathy or hugs, just thinking on that each and everyone of us are different.
Everyone is too worried about how they look themselves to be gawping at those around them.

Smallest daughter's just dragged me into KFC for Piri Piri bites as she's never been to KFC in her life....

....I blame it all on her!

Well, smallest daughter was 10 yesterday - so we haven't *been in 10 years!

* we have actually been twice in 10 years....each time though the staff have been having massive arguments so we've ended up walking out before being served!

We really need a KFC post, but, there's a lovely young lad works in there, friendly and polite. I just have to walk up to the counter and say "usual please" and he just knows!

I agree that we are all different and we should do what is right for us and not what others think is right for us.

I only care about how I feel about myself and of course I care what my OH thinks.

Not bothered about anyone else.

For me it is about my own self esteem, my health,, I just feel better not letting myself go, although it gets harder every year to keep myself in shape.

I dont like the bloated feeling when I am carrying too much weight. (like now)

Food wise its no big deal for me to eat healthily, it takes 10 minutes to poach some salmon and make a salad. I love fish, vegetables and fruit.
The problem is I also like the unheatlhy stuff as well.
We tend to eat quite well in the week then Friday we might have chinese or Indian and Saturday is Pizza night.

I used to be able to eat what I wanted and be stick thin and I cant do that anymore. Trying to keep away from Greggs and McDonalds requires quite a bit of willpower but like I said before its about finding a balance.

Sometimes it is good to look at things in different ways.

If you had to carry a weight from here to there, and you had the option of carrying either a 10kg weight or a 20kg weight, which would you choose to carry?

You are the weight you carry already, so -

if you are 70kg and take the 20kg weight, you are now 90kg of matter

if you are 80kg and take the 10kg weight, you are also 90kg of matter

- that's it, really.

Sorry, inertia kicked in.
