Area advice - Near to Stafford Castle

Considering moving to a house off Montville Drive near to the castle and I just thought it would be good to get peoples views on the area please?

Everything from Crime, Schools (Primary and Secondry), Noise and Traffic down the Newport road....all would be greatly appreciated! :)

Primary you'd be closest to Castlechurch Primary, which is ok. Good - last Ofsted report - as far as such things can be trusted.
Secondary you'd be closest to King Edwards, which is far from the disaster some people seem to think it is. Good with Outstanding features - last Ofsted report - perfectly acceptable.

Don't know about noise or traffic, but the schools shouldn't concern you overmuch.

As a resident of Western Downs, I can confirm its pretty much fine, there are some dongle heads who pass through and at the moment a couple of chicken chasers now and again around the estates but on the whole its OK.

Having lived all over Stafford I would say its no better or worse than anywhere else in Stafford really, kids with dogs seem to be a big thing in Stafford generally at the moment. When I say dogs I mean big Staffs.
