Armed Police on Doxey Road - 4th Nov 2011

Spotted on doxey road between mill and castle tavern direction doxey at 0945 this morning. A blue bmw sanwched between 5 marked police cars 3 at the rear and 2 in front. Some of the officers were equiped with sub-machine guns. They were in conversation with 2 men who one presumes were from the bmw. .........

The response suggets that they had been tracked for some time and deemed doxey road a suitable place to pull them over. From their stance i doubt that dealing with questions were not likely to gild a useful response. I left..........

Basil we thought you were the intrepid news hound for the forum. We know previuosly you have braved irate builders and peered through curtains to seek out the facts.

Whilst I am not happy to see armed Police on the streets I cannot agree we should be hanging and flogging them

Saw 5 police cars in a row in town this afternoon, all full of police wearing helmets etc. During the recent riots I started following Staffs Police on facebook, as did thousands, and it's good to see/read about how proactive they are being.

If their facebook feed is the same as the Twitter one, I hope their ability to catch criminals is bettter than their ability at spelling and grammar.....

Littering or non payment of poll tax. Could they have stopped an attach on the conservative club ?

From what i was told they were from a bit further east than "the bmw"
only 2 men in a bmw? What a waste of petril!!!!!!
