It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce that Arthur sadly passed away in North Staffs Hospital during the evening of Thursday 9 June. He was surrounded by his family; his wife Audrey, daughter Jane and her husband Sean, together with his two Grandsons, Ben and Oliver and his partner Tiss.
We had to say goodbye to a very special man, a kind, caring man, who always acted selflessly. A man who would always make you laugh, a man who would always see the funny side. In his almost 90 years he lived and worked around the world, doing a variety of interesting and diverse jobs.
A true gentleman,a devoted husband, a wonderful father and an amazing grandad. He will be missed so much by so many; I'm sure a few of you on here know, or at least know of him, if not only for his almost weekly 'Letters to the Editor'.
