Nipped into Tesco about 4 this afternoon, car park was packed but it was quite quiet inside. Reckon most people had parked there and walked into town.

Waitrose in Lichfield was pleasantly quiet last night. On the down side I've had to remortgage the house after shopping there...

Finished last few bits last night, dragged MoD1982 round Asda, wasn't too busy. Just sitting here now watching Sainsburys car park fill up, hardly any spaces, due to the flooding. Glass of cider anyone?

Am nearly finished, decided to head out and get some veg from lidl then head into town. The rain seems to be keeping many shoppers away, it's still busy but certainly less manic than I expected.

I have retired to the Stafford Ale House for a mid-shop cider though!

EDIT: Just a heads up, tiggys bakery are now too busy to accept any more orders for Xmas eve. Shame, but also great to see them doing well.

I assume they have another, but they seem to be baking in the market at the min. Saw some ovens the other day, and today someone was carrying hot pies while I was there. They also do the pub runs though, and were doing so well before the market stall, so must bake elsewhere too.

Definitely worth it, got a few on order to take to my mum's on boxing day.

I understood they went into a curry house in the dead of night and were gone by first light papadum
But was never curious enough to find out which one

I heard they had been using the kitchen at the Tap & Spile, since they no longer do food.
