We could do with anykind of restaurant as long as it wasn't Indian or Chinese. Have we got a decent English restaurant in the town?

The Bankhouse Cafe Bar, opposit the Vine Hotel on Slater street (i think) is pretty good - and the menu at the Sun Inn always sounds yummy.

I always thought Spaggos was an excellent name for a restauarnt. We could do we a mexican restaturant - there used to be one where the Inn Dragon is now, which was pretty good if I recall.

I've heard rumours that the Surgery was going to be turned into a Mexican, if they can ever be bothered. Was supposed to be open by the end of sept but obviously hasn't been started. Will have to do something though, I'm sure they can't carry on for long with the severe lack of trade they currently have as a bar.

Could def do with a Mexican though, I love their food

I've heard those same rumours, but how authentic will it be, really? I have eaten the real thing on US soil, so I shall report back when they open!

I'd expect as authentic as the Franki & Bennys!

To be honest though, I love spicy food and would like a change to indian when I go out sometimes. When I lived in Southampton I was in the TGI Fridays at least once a fortnight just cos I liked their fajitas etc. The place itself annoyed me, but the food was nice.

It's gonna be an over-21s nightclub, and as far as I remember is owned by that Jack fella who had Top Of The World for a few years..

Yup, some of you may remember him as the DJ Jack Frost from the Colosseum many years ago. He then came back in late 2000 and started running it, after it became Zanzibar. He's since been replaced by Kaj (Paul Caswell IIRC), also another old DJ there but normally did student nights and downstairs at the weekends.

I worked their through college/uni so was there a lot between 94-2000
