I hit a copper there once. I was proceeding into town on a motorcycle and he was walking along talking into this radio, when he just suddenly stepped out in front of me . By the time we'd picked ourselves up, we were surrounded by dozens of his mates and I was feeling rather intimidated. He was very good about it, though, and fully acknowledged his part in the affair. As no real damage was done, we decided to put it all down to experience...

The police car was really caved in on the front end and I also saw an ambulance in attendance.

when i drove past there was about 3 ambulances and god knows how many police cars ...probably extra attention because its 'one of their own'.

I guess as it is a police car, a fair amount of legal action will proceed. Plus they'd all want to see if their colleague is ok even if they're not official on-duty police.
