bank holiday weather

Have we got a thread about the weather -I was looking forward to my day off and as usual on bank holiday Monday its raining - been looking for interesting thing to do when it rains, but all the internet sites promote using the time to clean up your home.
I have a cup saying a clean kitchen is a wasted life - i want to spend my day doing something interesting, cultural and inexpensive and something that means i don't have to go out in the rain.

Well I watched The Great Escape (RIP Dicky Attenborough) this afternoon rather than do any DIY or cleaning.

Tonight off out for a slap up meal to try and salvage something from the day.

It's been a dismal old day . We watched movies and moaned at each other. On the happier side we had a cracking roast .

Another bank holiday with rain .
The bank holiday Tuesday rain has set in now. I cant have another day cleaning
I will have to brave it and get the mac and wellies on, I used to love the rain when the kids were little. we used to go out splashing in the puddles. I might look rather silly splashing in puddles with out the children - it's no fun when they grow up and leave home.
