We have just hired a new manager (myself) and in the next few months we will be making some major changes to the shop, trying create a new & unique experience.

For those of you who have been, what would you like to see change/kept in the shop?

For those of you who haven't been what do you desire from a coffee shop?

All feeback will be grateful

Thank you

I'm always on the look out for a new place for coffee so will definitely be in.
I don't suppose you need any staff? I'm looking for a new job and have plenty of customer service experience, Barista and waitressing experience too and a full hygiene certificate.

Hi,

Well make sure you pop along, we will make sure everyone knows about our re-launch aswell.

Staff at the moment is fine but feel free to hand in your CV to us so we can save it on file.

I visit on occasion when I need somewhere for lunch on a Saturday. The menu is not bad, although a. Couple of specials would be an interesting addition.

Are you related to The Mill at Worston? - It's a while since I ventured your way, are you selling Guinness too?

Really good anti pasto would get me in - with interesting breads, plenty of olive oils and balsamic vineagar - Palma ham, Parmesan cheese, olives, artichokes, cheeses, sun dried tomato, rocket, fire roasted peppers, lupins, pickled veg ...

Openiong hours that involve times I'm in town would be brill.

Every time I go past it's closed. Days/Evenings/weekends - well most of the time it's seemed.

Could you post your opening hours on here?

I notice from your opening hours that you open at 11am.... I know you mentioned reviewing your hours so thought I would mention ... I coffee in town twice a week and always at 10am. there are always lots of other people wherever we go for coffee so I'm assuming other people think 10 is about the right time for coffee in town . so maybe worth bearing in mind ?

I used to visit quite often, but the last two attempts put me off. First time, arrived at 3pm and was told you were closing as there were no customers. Second time I discovered the menu had changed and all the nice veggie options had gone leaving me with basic, and quite pricey for what it was, offerings. So I haven't been back.

Opening hours need to be 10-4 at least. More veggie options (veggies don't just want cheese or egg, which most places seem to stick to). And improve the table layout - always felt cramped to me.

I used to go in with my wife but we haven't been in for a few years now as from memory you don't welcome children (or at least you never used to??) If that is still so then that is fine but it does mean that you are unlikely to get my custom for a good few years at least. Shame as I really used to like going there, nice gentle & relaxed atmosphere - perhaps due to the lack of kids?!

I hope it all works out.

You also don't open till 11am - which is a bit rubbish (I often grab an early morning coffee) - Usually 9:30 am ish so a nice breakfast offering would be good

Last time we went for dinner when was when you did the groupon deal (a year ago?). The food was really good. However we found the opening hours meant that we haven't been back since.
I understand you have to try and balance the opening hours with demand and staffing costs. So is it just a coffee and cake place now then?

It would be ace to see soya milk available as an alternative to cows milk.

Also, on the cake front some vegan (i.e dairy / egg free) cakes would be very nice to see. I can't think of anywhere else in town offering this. Everyone can eat vegan cakes and they are every bit as tasty as a cake with egg in. The Swan have responded to local requests with their vegan/veggie night on a Tuesday and this seems to have been pretty successful.

Though not a veggie I totally agree with that and it would give you a nice USP over the competition.

Whenever I take a vegan choccy cake to work, my (non-vegan) colleagues usually demolish it in about three seconds flat. From a cost point of view, they are no more expensive to make. I would think from a business point of view, opening up your products to the widest audience possible makes a great deal of sense!

Any chance you could post the recipe up somewhere? I'd be really interested in trying a trusted recipe.
