Living on an island ?
The clock is ticking.....
That looks very much like ours. The frame spars are quite heavy so I assume some kind of hardwood has been used. Guessing the spec' has been updated since 2005.
As far as i am aware it's the same model
Went to B&Q looking to replace a couple of shower mixers - bought two of these for £54 - end of line at £30 each, minus another 10% for having a "Been around for a bit and not dead yet" card.
My shower leaks if set to hot, turn to cold only and it's fine. I'm seriously tempted to grab one of these just for the mixer bit, are they hard to fit?
Mmm, I think I had the last two in boxes - but there is still the one on display...
If you already have a 150mm mixer, it should be a fairly straight swap - I hope.
I won't be doing it until next Wednesday, at the earliest.
It says Out-Of-Stock locally - except for Etruria.
Well at least it's not as far as the Djibouti branch......
The clock is ticking.....
Fitted these today - and was quite impressed, not something that often happens when I'm dealing with plumbing hardware.
Much the hardest part was getting the awful, piss-poor existing ones out.
These have clearly been designed by somebody who has actually fitted a shower himself.
Fitted a day early.
This has been playing continuously since then, via the hard drive, just in the background. I have not noticed any repeats and a lot of it is worth keeping - quite a lot of Scott Walker, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, etc, and very little stuff that I actually dislike.
To be fair, it was a fluke, I had no idea that it had this facility.
Whitehouse foods all frozen stuffs half price today, just got diced goat at £3/kg
I bought an aneroid barometer in the Norton Bridge Hospice Shop today for thirty bob - rather like this sort of thing -
- but set in a rather larger lump of very nicely turned beech, probably the result of a one-off turning exercise, I suspect.
The calibration of these devices often drifts off a bit over time, so I though I might as well reset it whilst I remembered, only to find that it agreed exactly with the current air pressure for Stafford.
I also got a 2D tube for 50p - installed now and working.
The actual item, after a tart-up.
Another KH find - a nice oak bed-table. A few small fixes, rickety joints, etc., and all is well. I couldn't tart up the folding braces much, as they are electrobrassed steel, but they do fit in with the 'vintage' air.
Mrs Mikinton picked up a couple of these at KH for £1 a bundle, and was well chuffed; midelino sticks.
ETA It seems a bundle is about £12 on eBay.
What are they for?
Yeah, what do you use them for? x
Self-flagellation - or floristry.
