What's wrong with that?Marching bands as part of a "fun" event ?

No mobility scooters or pushchairs then..?
but the wording does not exclude those vehicles from the ban.
Well maybe a few people may consider marching bands to be amusing, entertaining or enjoyable. What's wrong with that?
It might have been clearer in late Victorian times when cars were classed as "road locomotives" but, yes, "vehicles" might now be considered to be "any motor vehicle intended for travel on land and propelled by mechanical power" so that would include mobility scooters but not pushchairs.I believe that pushchairs & the like are not legally vehicles
Wasn't about for the last one due to a footy clash but will make a point of attending this year. It's a local event well worth supporting.Come and join us….

Spot the red coated chip eater (looking like the michelin man with so many layers on to keep warm) ............. A really good afternoon ! I enjoyed the dog displays the best . Unfortunately won't be there this year as a bit far to travel back .Didn't see anyone stuffing their face with chips. I may need new glasses......
Bit more complex, bicycles are legally vehicles but pushchairs, prams, wheelbarrows, wheelchairs and handcarts are not. Not sure about mobility scooters, the low powered ones that have a max speed of 4mph & you are allowed to use on the pavement may not be vehicles in the legal sense but the faster ones that you can use on the road may be."vehicles" might now be considered to be "any motor vehicle intended for travel on land and propelled by mechanical power"
Dual carriageway, flyover, a bypass? I believe at least one of the bridges is listed (as opposed to listing) so I can't see anything ever being done to the lane.Long term though there needs to be a better solution for the lane
Or for the Eastern Distributor Road to be extended beyond Hydrant Way half a mile southwards to the Baswich Lane railway bridge.Dual carriageway, flyover, a bypass? I believe at least one of the bridges is listed (as opposed to listing) so I can't see anything ever being done to the lane.
The best solution would be for the morons who drive into the bridges to be rounded up and put out of our misery.
Yeah, right.Or for the Eastern Distributor Road to be extended beyond Hydrant Way half a mile southwards to the Baswich Lane railway bridge.
It’s perfectly ok driving round there if you don’t drive like an idiot. Thanks saw the ‘road closed’ signs earlier but didn’t know how long for , assume this is to repair the bridge by the farm ?
Long term though there needs to be a better solution for the lane
What would be your solution then? Not just cars that’s the problem , larger vans ignore the size restrictions and regularly clog it up.
I can see a time where we have permanent traffic lights on the last bridge by the farm.
I get that people need to drive better but given the volume of traffic it does feel like a different solution is needed long term.
