Remember Beatties back in the early 80s, it used to be a day out an adventure to go to Wolverhampton on the bus, we used to catch I thing it was the 876 thing it stopped outside Woolworths, me and brother used to spend all day mostly in the toy department that’s gone now, a kids dream there was everything there subitoo not sure on the spelling, they had every team there, then there was all the corgi cars more choice then even Birmingham

After we had something to eat which always involved a milk shake, which where out of this world better than anything from McDonald’s, after we had something to eat sometimes it was back to the toy department for a few more hours we here never bored, my mum used to spend all day in there as well there was so much to see and to.

I remember the old wooden staircase anybody else have fond memories of Beatties before it went downhill, keep meaning to go to Wolverhampton to see what’s it’s like now, people tell me not to bother it’s so rundown but to remember it what it was like.

Really?

University will buy it - I think it's a done deal. It was leaked to the press yesterday so had to be announced that they had put a bid in. I doubt anyone else will win the favour of the Council (not that they own it but wheels within wheels)

It used to be the 873 or 876. Good times.
