It's the Stafford Half Marathon, Fun Run and Junior Mile on Sunday (16 March) and Stafford's Fairtrade group, Stafford Area Action for Fairtrade (SAAFT), are giving away 2500 Co-op FAIRTRADE bananas 
- one to every runner. As you can imagine this is a big task so we are looking for people who would like to help.
If you are free anytime between about 10am and 1pm and would like to help give out FAIRTRADE bananas and promote Fairtrade please come along to the Fairtrade marquee (just outside Lloyds Bank) in Market Square. There are free t-shirts for volunteers and probably a couple of bananas too!
If you are running in any of the races and would like to help promote Fairtrade as well, then you can join the SAAFT running team. Come along to the stall before the race for a free t-shirt and to sign our team register.
It will all be a bit hecktic so explain to someone that you want to join Team SAAFT or help give out bananas and that you read about it on Stafford Forum and we'll sort you out.
The Half Marathon is a great local event to get involved with and there's lots going on in Market Square while the races are on so please come down and enjoy the event and support the runners.
