I text my milkman what I want, it's delivered and he puts a bill through every 4 weeks which we simply pay through bank transfer. And although it costs far more than the supermarket the milk is from a local dairy where the farmers get a decent price.

Chicken John is gone, so is the butcher next to him. The record stall has gone, several other stalls that I'm sure were occupied 2 weeks ago are vacant, its not looking promising :(

Well the state of the guildhall is not helping things.

Honestly they need to do something. I keep hearing of a food court but see no signs.

The market is a waste of space it really should be closed down and the space utilised for something else.

Now replaced by a stall selling west indian foodstuffs (I think!), lots of odd shaped fresh veg and seasonings.

Maybe everything is not as bad as the constant negative nellies ALWAYS make out in this forum.

TBH there still isn't anything in there for me, I visited last week (and posted about the Caribbean food place). What do you use the market for?

The Bakery man seems to be making a go of the market. He had pretty much had sold out what he had baked by the time I went in at 1pm.
