hello everyone. happy new year.

can anyone please recommend a local block paver who can extend my drive with a permeable block paved parking space please (new regs say you have to use new type permeable blocks - blocks with bigger gaps)?

isn't all block paving permeable? concrete and clay blocks are. do you need permission?

You will not need planning permission if a new or replacement driveway of any size uses permeable (or porous) surfacing which allows water to drain through, such as gravel, permeable concrete block paving or porous asphalt, or if the rainwater is directed to a lawn or border to drain naturally.

If the surface to be covered is more than five square metres planning permission will be needed for laying traditional, impermeable driveways that do not provide for the water to run to a permeable area.

Odd, I've used him in the past and recommended him to other people and he's been pretty reliable.

I must have been unlucky he came to quote just didn't follow through, mind you that year I had a nightmare getting any sort of trades man, we were doing a house renervation and everyone was booked up all summer. Thanks to him not turning up I ended up with this guy who should have been called Bodget and son, I had to sack him I could have done better blindfolded and my hands tied behind my back and he was a rob dog.
