Block paving mess

I retained a reasonable amount of money considering the work that he had done cleaning the block paving. He didn't come back... He's not welcome. As has been said above, if he could do it right, he'd have done it right the first time.

I'd say 'well at least they're working' but that could be debated on this evidence.....

I am confused.

Did he lay the slabs or just clean them?

I was under the impression that he had laid them but if so why did they need cleaning if they were new blocks?

The block paving had been down for years, there were no new blocks. Tree roots had ruined one area which he agreed to fix: , and he also agreed to finish another area that I'd started 2 years before: (there was a nice pattern before he started) . I wish I'd got my jet wash out, replacing lost kiln dried sand is easy, just brush it in. And he used a watering can to sprinkle the lot with what smelt like Milton, again easy. What I initially wanted done didn't actually get done, so I'll be lifting the blocks on my front drive... (as I've done before, again, easy, just takes time).

whole lot needs to come up. get the base done properly before laying the blocks, these look as tho they've just been chucked down on what was there. edges need to be retained. post 19 looks like old blocks used. did he take them from another bodged drive he did.
