Not to worry

We've taken back control and are levelling up, everyone's a winner.......
Not been on a ferry for years. They're slow, noisy, uncomfortable, staffed by some of the rudest people I've ever encountered and the close proximity of the general public with their horrible screaming kids is beyond the pale.

I really miss the old Hoverspeed days with the hovercraft but preferably the aerofoils.

The tunnel may be more expensive but it's a hell of a lot more civilised and rapid than the ferry.

Proactive,
I'm having to agree with you.
The tunnel's the only way I've gone - for Paris in 2008 and Lille in 2016.

I guess here is a relevant place to post...

So as you may know I'm over in Latvia, and feck me the supermarket makes Stafford look like a third world country. Stacks of fresh fruit and veg, everything you can imagine and many you can't, and all loads cheaper than we get. But they have lower wages so food is cheaper I hear you cry, but this is nearly all imported from elsewhere in the EU. You telling me the Greek farmers sell much cheaper to Latvia just because they have bad wages? It's nonsense, as is the idea that other countries have shortages, I couldn't even identify half the stuff I was looking at! As an idea fresh cherries are 5 euros per kg, thats about half what we pay in the UK and these look much better. Like an instagram filter in real life!

Now a lot of stuff is more than at home, you want western washing powder for example be prepared to pay 40p/wash. Certain deoderants, that sort of thing, not cheap at all, but food? Tons of it.

Aiming for that fourth spot and bang on target

I saw another benefit this week, Canada won't allow our cheese in without huge tariffs so more for us. Winning!

At last, a much needed and asked for positive from Brexit.

And goes on to say we'll also get half litre bottles of sparkling wine, why metric for those? Surely there's an archaic measurement we could use that means roughly the same but can be celebrated by flag shaggers?
